Iphone 6 is Not Charging
Do you connect your iPhone to the current and the battery does not charge? Do you have problems charging your iPad’s battery? You connect the iPhone or iPad with the USB cable to a computer and the battery does not charge? Are you wondering why your iPhone does not load ? Before anything else, since normally this has a fairly simple solution and most of the time have nothing to do with damage to the device (we’ll talk about that later).
Before we get into flour and start to see the reasons that can make the battery of an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch not loaded properly , let’s make sure that our device is not really charging. How can we do this check? Simply by looking at the battery indicator in the iDevice status bar. If next to the battery icon appears a lightning bolt icon is that the battery of the device is being recharged.
In case the device is connected to the electrical power (either through the wall charger or through the USB port of a computer) and the lightning icon does not appear, something is malfunctioning. Below we show you the most probable reasons for this problem and its possible solution.
1.- Check that the loading port is free of dirt
It is one of the most common causes that an iPhone is not charging correctly and luckily its solution is extremely simple.
See the Lightning or Dock connector on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and also the ends of the USB cable used. Do you see any lint or dirt inside? If so, that dirt could be causing the battery to be unable to receive power and therefore the load is not working properly.
In case of observing dirt you should remove it with great care not to damage the connector . For this you can help with a toothpick, a stretched clip, the bristles of a toothbrush completely dry. Another good idea is to use a can of compressed air. You should not blow directly, as in doing so the saliva can easily end inside the connector.
Once the charging port is free of dirt, try connecting the charger again. Now it should work and charge the battery normally. If you still do not load, read on to find other possible solutions.
2.- Change the USB port or power outlet
Another common reason why an iOS device does not load properly is a problem with the USB port or the socket where we tried to load it.
Checking if this is the problem is as simple as connecting the charger to another outlet or checking that the outlet is working properly connected in it another equipment that needs power to operate. In case you are trying to load the device from a USB port you must change the connector to another port to rule out a possible failure. Of course you should also prove that the charger works properly and rule out that the problem does not come from there.
3.- Check for possible damage to the USB cable
Physical damage to the USB cable of iOS devices can cause the upload or transfer of data to not work properly. In case of problems, you should check that the cable is intact and be able to test it on another device or try another cable with your device. If your cable is damaged then iphone 6 wont charge and the devices shows only a black screen.
In case of damage to the cable you will have to replace it with a new one of the highest possible quality. Here you have two options, use a new original Apple cable or use some cheaper cable that you can find on Amazon but certified by Apple.
Another possible failure of the USB cable is given by the cables not certified by Apple. In case you have one of these cables, it is possible that the device rejects it and the loading or transfer of data is not carried out properly. In this situation you will have to change it by an original cable or another certificate.
4.- The iPhone is physically damaged
In case the iPhone is physically damaged the first thing will be to assess the status of the device . In case you have fallen and have a broken screen or a blow to the case, it does not usually cause loading problems. The contact with the water or the fall of some liquid on the terminal is not usually cause to stop working the load (as long as you make sure to dry it well before connecting it to the current as we explained in the article of the previous link).
Other types of shocks or stronger damage can cause the device to not be loaded correctly. In addition, in many cases can cause even more serious damage, which would make it difficult to repair and it would be necessary to take it to a technical service authorized by Apple.
These are the most common reasons why an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch does not charge when you connect it to the electrical power to a USB port . In case you have a device in this situation, review the previous points and, possibly, you can solve it quickly. In case after reviewing these points you still have problems, you may have to take the device to repair or even replace it with a new one.
